Church of the Holy Spirit
It is a small and isolated Alpine church, located at 1,631 m just north of the town of Casere.
It was built on a pre-existing medieval chapel in pure late Gothic style by the architects of the Bressanone Cathedral, at the direct request of the Bishop. It is documented that in 1455 , Cardinal Nicholas of Cusa of Bressanone consecrated the renovated and expanded church and the adjoining cemetery. Upon entering, the famous crucifix depicting Christ pierced by gunshots is particularly noteworthy. This crucifix stood along the path leading to the Tauern Pass about 200 years ago and was later placed inside the church.
Legend has it:
It is said that a marksman from Pustertal, traveling to Pinzgau for a shooting competition, wanted to test his accuracy, so he pierced the cross three times. In Pinzgau, he won first prize, a bull, and happily took it home. As he passed the cross again, the beast became enraged and killed the marksman.

selva lake
Selva Lake, "WaldnerSEE," is a true oasis of peace surrounded by nature. This small, crystal-clear alpine lake , located at 2,338 meters, is nestled in the mountains above Predoi, at the base of Monte Fumo (3,251 meters). A path, initially through the woods and then panoramic, leads to it, offering picturesque views.
It can be reached with a hike of about 3 hours starting directly from the B&B Luggla.
We recommend a stop at the "WALDNERALM" mountain hut , which you will find along the trail.
It's the ideal place to relax and recharge your batteries, far from the stresses of everyday life. From the lakeside, you can admire the surrounding mountains rising on the horizon.

"Wieser Werfer moos" biotope
This natural area is an important example of an alpine ecosystem and is located within the
Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park .
It is a wetland and marshy area (peat bog), a rare and precious high-altitude environment, home to a wide variety of plants and animals, including some rare species. The area is immersed in a breathtaking setting, surrounded by lush meadows, dense forests, and imposing mountains, with numerous streams flowing down from the peaks. It can be reached from the Casere area with a hike of about 1.5 hours.
with a small detour of a few minutes, we recommend a stop at the "FUCHSALM" mountain hut ,

Forcella del Picco - Birnlücke
The Birnlücke (2,665 m) is a border crossing between Italy and Austria. Just above the Birnlückehütte refuge
The pass marks the border between the Austrian state of Salzburg and South Tyrol, between the Krimmler Achental and Aurina Valleys, as well as between the Vedrette di Ries-Valle Aurina Nature Park and the Hohe Tauern National Park. It can be reached via a long but scenic hike starting from Casere.
A mandatory stop at the "KehrerAlm" mountain hut

Predoi Copper Mines
A small train takes tourists on a discovery of the Sant'Ignazio tunnel , entering the mountain for 1 km! The visit then continues on foot, along a specially designed underground path. To fully appreciate this approximately 75-minute adventure, we recommend wearing warm clothing and a good pair of sturdy shoes.
Inside the mine, deep beneath the earth, 1,100 meters below the surface, a Climate Center has been created , a place specifically designed for the well-being of people with respiratory difficulties. The area's unique microclimate helps alleviate the symptoms of chronic and recurrent diseases . The two-hour stay at the Center will be supervised by qualified personnel and physiotherapists.

Campo Tures castle
For centuries, the imposing fortress of Tures Castle has towered above Campo Tures. The defensive structure is today considered one of the best-known monuments in the entire Tures and Aurina Valley, as well as one of the most precious castles in South Tyrol.
The construction of the castle dates back to the year 1100.
Today, Tures Castle can be visited with or without a guide.
Without a guide, you can see the entrance gates with drawbridges, the courtyard area with its forge and garden, the rampart walk, the attic of the old palace ("granary"), the battlements, and the keep, where films about the castle's history are shown.
As part of a guided tour , you can visit, in addition to the above, 20 other fully preserved rooms, including the Judgement Hall, the library, the chapel, the Chamber of the Sick, and the Cardinal's Chamber. The Armoury, the Knights' Hall, the so-called "Chamber of the Spirits," and the Torture Chamber are particularly impressive.

Brunico
Just a 40-minute drive away , our "city" is the destination for an interesting visit.
Walking along Brunico's main street, lined with architecturally carved gables and scenic arched doorways, you'll come across the old town's many historic shops.
The narrow streets and buildings of the historic center retain their ancient medieval origins almost intact. Standing watch over them is the imposing Castle. Today, inside, you can visit one of Reinhold Messner's mountain museums, dedicated to mountain peoples from all over the world .
We suggest a walk on the small hill towards Riscone, which reaches the military cemetery of the fallen of the Great War .
During the Christmas period, a visit to the famous Christmas Markets is not to be missed.
